The Royal Institution – welcoming people to where Science Lives

The Royal Institution was founded in March 1799 with the aim of introducing new technologies and teaching science to the general public. It’s an iconic location in Mayfair, not just for the incredible facade, but also for Christmas Lectures that are broadcast live every year from inside the heart of the building.

We are working closely with Ri to raise the street profile and welcome of the much loved and listed building. This will include street interventions for informing the public of upcoming events and raising awareness of the heritage collections that are housed within and which visitors are welcome to visit.
